Sizes:  15-17"

Colors:  black tris and blue merles, some BETs possible

Litter registry: ASDR

Update: 4/22/24

We are unsure if we will be having more litters in  2024.

It's possible we will have one more summer litter but not sure of who we will be breeding yet, so please stay tuned.

We are potentially selling a few of our older dogs so please ask us if you are interested.

We are having a lot less litters this year than usual because of various family reasons. But we are NOT getting out of the business and will definitely be having more litters in the Spring of 2025.

Our puppy raising style

Here at Impression Dogs, when we have a litter of puppies we take their first 8 weeks of life VERY seriously.  As babies it is critically important that  everything they learn about human interaction be entirely  positive. ALL our puppies are born in our home and our kids are taught how to properly handle puppies and spend hours playing with them every day. We spend time from the minute they are born, gently holding them and talking to them and doing ENS (early neurological stimulation).  As they grow we provide them with all the necessary veterinary care, clean environment  and social interaction with children, adults, and other animals.  Yes, it's a lot of work but we feel it's so worth it! Our puppies are purposefully raised to become healthy and well socialized pets, perfectly suited for family homes. We are certain any puppy you get from us will have a happy, confident view of his world by the time it comes to your home!

Want to get on the waiting list for a puppy?

We care about our puppies very much and want to make sure we place them in the best homes possible!

1.  If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies the first step is to  fill out our Puppy Application.     You can  also find it on our Contact page. We read and promptly respond to every email or application in an effort to get to know each family we work with. If we feel that you would make a good home for one our puppies we will approve you as a puppy home or we may have some additional questions for you to be certain you will make a good fit for one of our puppies. (Please note: Not every applicant is approved as a home. We know our puppies very well and the specific things this breed requires and it is important to us that they all go to homes that  will sufficiently meet these requirements. Please to don't take it personally if we do not approve you as a home for this breed. If you are not a good fit neither you or the dog will be happy, and there is likely another breed that would be a good fit for you).

2.  If you are approved as a home you will have 2 options. You may choose to get on our Waiting list  with a deposit of $500 to reserve a future puppy of your preference color/gender. Deposit is deducted from the total price of the puppy. Deposits are non-refundable but fully transferrable to any litter until you have found your perfect puppy. Or you can choose get on our FREE Notification list and we simply notify you know when we have available puppies. (We often do not get to our Notification list when we have a long Waiting list).

How the Waiting list works:

The waiting list deposit is $500 and is counted towards the total cost of the puppy.

It will hold your place on the waiting list for up to 3 years.

Your name gets a date stamp when we receive your deposit and your turn to choose a puppy will be in order of date deposit was received. (Though you can always choose to wait longer if you want)

Pick day list:

When a batch of puppies are born (usually 1-3 litters born close to each other) I will create a Pick day list.

I will go down the Waiting list and ask each person if they are ready for a puppy from my current litters, until I get enough names for the Pick day list. (6 puppies = 6 pick day spots etc..)

(Often people choose to wait for future litters, which is fine)

Pick day is usually set for when the puppies are around 5 weeks old, give or take.

On Pick day each person on the pick day list will get a turn to choose their puppy. We do not do pick day here in person. But we are happy to video chat or call and discuss the puppies. Plus I do lots of pictures and videos of the puppies prior to pick day to help you make your decision. When you choose your puppy a second deposit of $500 is due to reserve that puppy that day. The remaining total along with any additional training items will be invoiced to you before they go home.

  • You never loose your spot on the waiting list as it is in order of time stamp.

  • You can always choose to wait for a future litter if the timing is not right for you.

  • I never make you choose a puppy. And I am happy to help match you if you ask me!

  • If you are on the Pick day list and choose not to get a puppy, this does NOT mean you will get 1st pick on the next available litter. Your name will go back on the waiting list where is was before and the next pick day list will be created the same way as before.

  • I reserve the first spot on the waiting list as breeder's choice, but I often don't use it.

  • The waiting list deposit is NOT refundable if you get a puppy elsewhere, or decide not to get one at all. It IS refundable if Impression Dogs goes out of business, Or if the puppy you select from me dies (so far never happened).

We update our facebook group frequently with pictures and videos of all the puppies from birth until they can go home at 8 weeks old. If you are on any of our lists for a puppy you will want to join for all of our puppy updates! And please read below for more details on how we raise our puppies.

What we provide with your puppy

  • Registration papers.  All our puppies are either AKC or ASDR registered and each puppy goes home with registration papers.

  • Vet checked.  Puppies will be able to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old. By this time they will have had their first set of shots, been de-wormed at least twice and had a check-up with our vet.

  • Goodie bag.  All puppies go home with their own puppy goodie bag! This contains a small bag of puppy food, treats, a toy, a bone and a puppy blanket that smells like their momma!

  • Health record and training tips.  Each puppy goes  home a folder which contains their AKC papers, their current health record, and a few pages of our personal puppy raising tips and suggestions for potty training and more.

  • Health Guarantee. All our adult dogs have a full 9 panel genetic health screening completed before breeding. We keep all our dogs in pristine health, providing top quality food and routine health care. We provide a 5 day all inclusive health guarantee, and a 3 year genetic health guarantee for each of our puppies!

  • Photos and updates. We know what it's like to be a new parent and eagerly await the day you can bring your new puppy home! So when you buy a puppy from us, we keep you up-dated with photos and videos at least every other week of your new puppy until the week they can go home!  We post on our Facebook group  A LOT! We even do some LIVE videos of the puppies births. So watch for updates on there.

  • Outstanding puppy raising.  Our unparalleled passion, education and dedication to properly raising each of our puppies from day one has set us apart from the rest. Our puppies are born in our home, loved on and handled daily by both children and a professional Animal Behaviorist (4 yr degree & 18+ years experience) Your puppy comes with the absolute best start in life possible.

  • Early Neurological Stimulation. This is special type of stimulation we do with each puppy from 3-16 days old that produces beneficial effects on them for the rest of their lives. This video does a great job explaining what ENS is and all the benefits of performing this type of stimulation on your puppies.  ENS video

  • Puppy Culture Raised.  We use a very similar concepts and practices to the puppy culture video series. Though we don't follow it to a T, with our background and experience with raising this breed, I have put my own methods into our puppies raising program which have proven very successful. However, to better give you an idea of how our pups are raised, it is VERY similar to what you would see in the Puppy Culture series.

  • Puppy pre-training. We offer many options for pre-training your puppy some things before they go home at 8 weeks old, such as: crate training, leash & collar training, sit, down, come. Please see our individual puppy's page for details.

We do not ship our puppies. However, many people fly into Chicago to pick up their puppy from us and fly back with it as carry-on. (See more about this on our Contacts page). It is HIGHLY preferable that you pickup your new puppy personally.  We invite you to see the home where the puppy was born and raised in order to learn what is familiar to them. This provides the most gentle transition to their new home, and we, particularly our children,  love to meet our puppies' new families!

We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy to someone for any reason we feel they may be an unsuitable home for the puppy. Every buyer is required to fill out an application before adopting a puppy.

We have a Welcome Home Policy:  If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy, we will receive them back at ANY time (without refund).  We do not want any of our dogs abandoned or going to a shelter.

Please contact us with any questions you may have.
