Hideaway Farm

- Michigan -

Welcome to the Farm!

Once you've been here you'll definitely know why we named our home Hideaway Farm!

When Impression dogs was established in 2009 we were actually located in West Virginia. We moved to Niles, Michigan in 2015 during one of the coldest, harshest winters  Michigan has ever seen! We were still able to find a beautiful little one acre corner in Niles to raise our dogs for the next couple of years. But as our  business's grew we found an increasing need  and desire for more land, more privacy and space for our children and animals to run freely. Early in 2019 our dreams were realized when found a 18 acre parcel of land, set far off the road with a beautiful house and lots of potential for us to build our farm. We've been hard at work clearing land, fencing, gardening, building barns and growing our farm. We've come a LONG way  in a short time and enjoy every minute of it. Our dogs absolutely LOVE it here. They most of the time do not even have to be fenced and they 'd agree, running freely on a farm is what Aussies were meant to do!

So here's our Farm!

We have about 28 laying hens. We use and sell our farm fresh, free-range eggs!

Rabbits

Mini Rex, holland lop and Lionheads.

They're all pets, the kids show them at fair and sell them.

Nigerian Dwarf Goats

They are an amazing dairy goat and we use their milk for lots of things! Drinking, cheese, butter, and goat milk soaps.

Barn Cats

we have lots, and they stay busy!

Horses

We each have our own horse and  our girls train and ride theirs in the 4-H county fair!

The Garden

We grow an herb garden and vegetable garden, we love fish veggies and can (preserve) much of it! We can salsa, beans, tomatoes, pickles, peaches, applesauce, grape and strawberry jam.

Honey Bees

We have a couple of  bee hives primarily for pollination and we get to harvest some honey in the summer. It's amazing :)

Maple trees

We live in the middle of a woods with an abundance of maple trees. Each February we tap our trees and boil down the sap for maple syrup. (It's to die for!!)
